Kemira increases prices of polymers

September 7, 2021  By P&PC Staff

Kemira, a global chemicals company, has announced price increases for all polymers globally to industry and water; pulp and paper; and oil and gas businesses.

The company noted in a release that while global demand is continuously going up post-COVID, the constraints in the supply of key raw materials remains. The supply-demand balance is contributing to the increase in the cost of raw materials, logistics, packaging and utilities.

According to Kemira, the following price increases will become effective immediately or as contract terms allow:

  • Other liquid polymers – an increase of 10 to 20 percent

Kemira states that price increases will vary on the basis of geographic region and product type. It may be higher in selected areas.
